Dr. Gregg Jantz has proven himself in the field of counseling and psychology over the course of a career that has lasted nearly three decades. In 1984, Dr. Gregg Jantz founded The Center for Counseling and Health Resources, Inc., also known as A Place of Hope, which leads the field in chemical dependency treatment and mental health counseling.
One category of treatment The Center commonly provides is eating disorder treatment, which involves issues such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. Many patients have heard misleading information from pro anorexia groups, and The Center strives to break down these misconceptions and allow people to get help. For 24 years, The Center has practiced a treatment philosophy of whole-person help, which attempts to address not only the symptoms of eating disorders but their root causes as well, ultimately providing a more stable foundation on which patients can rebuild their self-esteem and take control of their lives. Most treatment programs last four to six weeks, though some are longer.
